Time for a Party
In this wonderful yet strange world where we have (invisible) friends who make us think, laugh, smile, cry.. with their words and music. I decided to ask Frank around to sing for us. The bar is stocked. Fully stocked. I didn't bother with finger foods..I find it easy to dance with a single malt in my hand but , quite frankly, my pineapple always falls off the stick if I try the same with food.
So...after reading your words of loveliness this year I seem to have a good idea of where we are going with the drinks list.
Davy H...from over here..Davy likes a drop of Gin...or the occasional beer...or wine. I believe he likes a nice merlot. The darling Ally from here, She wont say no to a Jim Beam or two. Dickie from a place I know like the back of my own hand Guiness?..I have Guiness...Beer?...Tetleys?. I'll get them from the cellar, shall I?
Adam and Kipps....from here and there...wine and beer...let me know if I'm wrong. Martin, can't honestly say I'd guess right with his tipple but,in my head, theres a Stephen Fry connection and I'm absolutely certain he drinks Red. Martin..not Stephen..lives ..here sometimes Rol, I think maybe tee-total..so I bought a couple of bottles of Schloer (all the best parties in the 80's had bin liners and Schloer..another blog post, I think) and Rol spends a bit of time around the sunset spot.
Names pulled out of the hat for duties...Davy gets the DJ gig and Dickie is our Honorary Head of Entertainment..and It'd just be bloomin' lovely if anyone else drops by.

Well see, as I'm always saying, I like a red wine but it don't like me, so I'll stick to the Pinot if that's OK. Or the Vina Torres ideally, but it's a bit pricey these days and times is 'ard. It won't take long before everyone's fed up with my records so you'd better have ally lined up, she's on the circuit and does it proper.

They say the quality of a party depends on its guestlist, so looking at yours I'd say it'd be some do. Turn the music up...
