Touchpaper

Gosh..who knew all out war could be so time consuming.

I swear I had to speak to the IT dept this morning to increase my inbox size limit. Each morning I come in, heart pounding, waiting for the next onslaught..and there pops up the message saying that my inbox is full.
They handed me the bluetouch paper...and forgot to tell me that they had already lit the fireworks. There I stood. Smiling. waiting for a pat on the back and what I got, at very close range, was "BOOM"

My life has gone to pot. Pot, I tell you.
I haven't been to my art group in three weeks.
I haven't seen any of my friends
I haven't thought about much at all... other than work...and running away to an Hebridean Island.
I can't concentrate enough to read a book
I can't tweet..because 140 characters takes time

oh dear ..I'm whining.

Music..again...has saved me.

my favourites list shows me that I have retreated back to some older friends..who helped me through at some other point of rubbishness.

Anthony and the Johnsons
Bettye Swann
Marvin Gaye
James Carr
Adele ( New, but quite a voice)
The Supremes

I thank them all dearly.

I have the afternoon tomorrow to go to a funeral. 92 year old wonderful, colourful, special, funny, characterful, wonderful lady. you know the kind...the world's a little bit duller without her. x

Remember, eventually it will all be worth it and eventually the boom will feel like a pat.

No art group and no seeing friends is not so good though, young lady - you'll feel so much better to give something else a miss this week and find yourself enough time to do one of these. I know, I know, easier said than done.

If you're retreating into old music, I recommend you seek out the classic opening line, "Times were so tough, but not as tough as they are now." I know, from your blog's strapline, that you know what I'm talking about.
